PlaintiffWestern Watersheds Project
Case DescriptionWestern Watersheds Project submitted three separate FOIA requests for Resource Management Plans for BLM field offices in California. After more than a year, BLM informed the Project that the requests were voluminous and responsive records would be provided upon completion. The Project also received a letter from the appeals officer at the Department of the Interior indicating that since BLM planned to release the responsive records there was nothing further to appeal. BLM has released a small number of records but there is still no indication when it will complete the request.
