(Hunt, Laura) (Entered: 04/10/2019)
2019-04-26MINUTE ORDER. In their 34 Joint Status Report, the parties in this matter have proposed to submit separate briefing schedules for each of the agencies to which the plaintiff has submitted separate FOIA requests, as each agency completes its response to any FOIA request before it. In cases such as this one -- i.e., where a plaintiff has brought a single complaint to make claims with respect to more than one FOIA request -- this Court requires that all relevant parties brief their respective FOIA issues at the same time, and where possible, in a single omnibus summary judgment brief. Thus, with rare exceptions, the Court will entertain such a motion only after production is complete with respect to all requests raised in the case. Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that the parties shall file a Joint Status Report on or before 7/11/2019, which shall contain a proposed schedule for further proceedings that comports with this Minute Order, if litigation is going to be necessary. Signed by Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on 4/26/2019. (lckbj1) (Entered: 04/26/2019)
