Comments Policy

The FOIA Project encourages the use of this blog for conversations around general issues of the Freedom of Information Act as well as specific cases. This Comments Policy is intended to foster such conversations.

In order to post a comment, a name (which may be a pseudonym) must be provided, as well as a legitimate email address or WordPress.com ID. Email addresses entered in this way are not shared, but may be used by the blog owner to privately contact the commenter.

Each comment should be on-topic, appropriate to the entry under which it was made as well as to other comments to which it is posted as a response. Comments which include offensive or inappropriate language, or are considered by the blog owner and administrator to be rude and offensive, may be edited or deleted. Please refrain from personal attacks. You may question or argue the content, but not attack the blogger, nor any other commenter.

This is a moderated blog. Failure to respect fellow participants or this Comments Policy could result in comments being deleted and future access being blocked. We reserve the right to delete, edit, or move any comment. Comments posted using sock puppet accounts will be deleted, as well as those we consider to be spam. Any comment with two or more links is identified as spam, which may prevent a comment from appearing.

All comments within this blog are the responsibility of the commenter, not the blog owner, administrator, contributor, editor, or author. By submitting a comment on our blog, you agree that the comment content is your own, and to hold this site, the FOIA Project, the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse and all affiliated organizations and their representatives harmless from any and all repercussions, damages, or liability. By posting a comment you are agreeing to allow the FOIAproject.org’s owner to use this content. The FOIAproject.org blog owner reserves all rights to content posted.

If you have posted a comment and it did not appear, please check to make sure it has conformed to the above guidelines. If you are sure it did not violate this policy, you may contact us via this contact form.
