Case DescriptionThe TREA Senior Citizen League submitted a FOIA request to the Social Security Administration for records concerning the Social Security Totalization Agreement between the U.S. and Mexico. The TREA Senior Citizen League also requested expedited processing and a fee waiver. The agency disclosed some records, but withheld 22 records without explaining the basis for its exemption claims. The TREA Senior Center League filed an administrative appeal, but after hearing nothing further from the agency, it filed suit.
