FOIA Project Annotation: Brady Eames requested information about the President's Management Council. While the agency acknowledged receipt of his request, it did not provide any further response. Eames filed suit and a month later the agency provided the records. The agency then filed a motion asking the court to dismiss the case as moot. The court agreed that because Eames had received the records he requested, the case was now moot. However, the court observed that Eames still had the right to file to recover his costs.
