Case DescriptionThe Energy & Environmental Legal Institute submitted a FOIA request to the Tennessee Valley Authority for emails to or from several officials at the agency that referred to either Climate Action Plan or Gallatin Fossil Plant or the Sierra Club from September 2013 to March 2014. The Institute also requested a fee waiver. The agency responded by indicating that it would take a 10-day extension in processing the request. After hearing nothing more before the expiration of the statutory dead line, the Institute filed suit.
