Case DescriptionProPublica submitted FOIA requests to the Department of Homeland Security for records concerning named contracts awarded by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S Customs and Border Protection. The agencies acknowledged receipt of the requests. CBP told ProPublica that it was taking a 10-day extension of the statutory time limit for responding. However, after hearing nothing further from either agency concerning its requests, ProPublica filed suit.
