| 2021-04-01 | | MINUTE ORDER: It appears from the docket that a copy of the 18 Status Report was mailed to Plaintiff's address of record and returned as undeliverable. Further, it appears from public records that Plaintiff was released from prison on December 29, 2020. Local Civil Rule 11.1 provides that "[n]otice of change in address or telephone number of an attorney or a party not represented by an attorney must be filed within 14 days of the change." However, in the several months since Plaintiff's address apparently changed, he has not submitted an updated address or had any other communication with the Court. Therefore, it is hereby ordered that this case is DISMISSED WITHOUT PREJUDICE for lack of prosecution. See Brown v. Metro Transit Police Dept , 87 F. Supp. 3d 145, 146 (D.D.C. 2015) (mail returned as undeliverable "may prompt a dismissal for failure to prosecute due to the plaintiff's failure to maintain a current address"); Cavezza v. Dept of Justice , No. 15-cv-182 (JEB), 2015 WL 4938679, at *1-*2 (D.D.C. Aug. 19, 2015) (dismissing action without prejudice where plaintiff released from prison during litigation "neither opposed the pending motions nor had any contact with the Court about his present whereabouts").
