The Center alleges that it is a "nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about immigrant women who have suffered from gender-based violence." Compl. at 4, Dkt. 1. The government, however, has indicated that the Center is not registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit. See Gov't Opp'n at 68, Dkt. 61. It is seemingly registered as a limited liability corporation with the District of Columbia. Id.; Gov't Opp'n Ex. B, Dkt. 61-2. Although the government has called into question the Center's non-profit status, the Center provides no meaningful response. See Reply at 17, Dkt. 62. Nor does it make any effort in its briefs to explain how the Center furthers its mission of "raising awareness about immigrant women who have suffered from gender-based violence such as female genital mutilation (FGM), rape, domestic violence, and forced marriage" and helping women who seek asylum, Compl. 4, beyond uploading to its public website records it obtains in FOIA litigation, Gov't Opp'n at 7. Accordingly, on or before July 31, 2021, the Center shall provide evidence in the form of official documentation and/or a sworn declaration from individual(s) with knowledge that (1) substantiates the Center's assertion that it is in fact a non-profit organization and is so registered with relevant tax authorities; (2) explains the specific ways in which the Center furthers its asserted mission in raising awareness about immigrant women who have been victimized and seek asylum; and (3) states whether the attorney of record in this case has received any compensation from the Louise Trauma Center from 2020 to the present and provides the amount of any such compensation by year.
