Bryant, proceeding pro se, filed this lawsuit against Adult Protective Services-Catholic Charities, Adult Protective Services worker Trenance Rone, guardian ad litem Steve Raminiak, the Cook County Sheriff's Department, and the Riverdale Police Department (collectively, "Defendants"). Bryant alleges that Defendants violated his constitutional rights. Defendants Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago and Trenance Rone together filed a motion to dismiss pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 12(b)(1) for lack of subject matter jurisdiction and 12(b)(6) for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted.
