Case DescriptionJohn Daniel Leslie, a National Park Service employee who was injured in an accident at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, filed a suit in state court against two entities responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Archway tram. Leslie submitted a FOIA request to the National Park Service for records pertaining to the investigation of his accident as well as related worker compensation records. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request and identified an estimated date of completion. However, after hearing nothing further from the agency, Leslie filed suit.
