Case DescriptionJudicial Watch submitted a FOIA request to the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys for records concerning the attendance of two Assistant U.S. Attorneys at a Hillary Clinton fundraiser in La Jolla in August 2015. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request and invoked unusual circumstances. Judicial Watch agreed to modify its request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, Judicial Watch filed suit.

2020-01-23MINUTE ORDER: The Court has received Defendant's 7 Answer as well as its 8 Status Report. Defendant notes in the Status Report that Plaintiff "had no issues with the statements" in that Report. The Status Report explains that the Executive Office for United States Attorneys released in part seven pages of responsive records with certain redactions; no pages were withheld in full. The Office considers this response, which included referring Plaintiff to the United States Secret Service for certain information, its final action. The parties continue to confer regarding any further necessary steps or remaining issues. Accordingly, with Plaintiff's consent, the Court ADOPTS Defendant's proposal of filing a joint status report by no later than MARCH 23, 2020 outlining any remaining issues and a schedule for further proceedings as necessary.
