Case DescriptionInvestigative journalist Adam Federman submitted a FOIA request to the FBI for records concerning correspondence or communications pertaining to threats to Dakota Access Pipeline Project. The FBI acknowledged receipt of the request and told Federman that it had located 61,982 pages of potential responsive records. Federman narrowed the request to 3,176 pages. After hearing nothing further from the agency, Federman filed suit.
