2014-05-16 | 14 | MINUTE entry before the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer: Plaintiff Alexander Fels has now submitted an amended complaint. The document comprises nearly 100 pages, and consists of Mr. Fels's lengthy handwritten statements, diagrams, and exhibits, including correspondence and orders from other courts. Mr. Fels has not yet submitted a short and plain statement of his claim for relief, as required by Fed. R. Civ. P. 8. As best the court can understand from the materials he has submitted, this lawsuit is an effort to challenge the propriety of state criminal proceedings that occurred in 2009. For example, Mr. Fels asserts on the fourth page of the handwritten portion of his complaint, "I have never in any of my federal filings asked for anything more than the chance to clear my name of the two felony guilty pleas, that I was coerced into accepting in state court in July and August of 2010." This court is not a forum for challenging Mr. Fels's guilty pleas, and his appeals from previous efforts to overturn his convictions are long since exhausted. This court has no jurisdiction over any of Mr. Fels's claims, even had they been timely filed. Mr. Fels's complaint is stricken, and this case is dismissed. Civil case terminated.
