Case DescriptionThe Project on Government Oversight submitted a FOIA request to the Office of the Inspector General at the Department of Justice for records concerning transcripts of interviews of Rudy Giuliani or James Kallstrom pertaining to the disclosure of non-public information in advance of the 2016 election. POGO also requested expedited processing and a fee waiver. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request. The agency eventually told POGO that it had conducted a search. But after hearing nothing further from the agency, POGO filed suit.
