Case Description | Accountability FBI submitted a FOIA request to the FBI for records concerning misconduct against senior FBI SES officials between January 2015 and December 31, 2021. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request. The agency told Accountability FBI that its request was not specific enough for it to conduct a search. Accountability FBI filed an administrative appeal of the denial. DOJ affirmed the denial. After hearing nothing further from the agency, Accountability FBI filed suit.
