DC 1:2021cv03389 2025-08-06 MINUTE ORDER. Defendant shall produce the remaining records starting on August 29, 2025, and shall continue processing a minimum of 500 pages monthly until Defendant completes production. This matter has been pending since December 2021 and, although the court appreciates the FBI's diligence in attempting to locate records through multiple searches, it is not unreasonable to demand processing at a rate of 500 pages per month when a case is as old as this one. Defendant in this case is the Department of Justice (DOJ) and, though the request was directed to the FBI, DOJ as the defendant agency can ensure that its sub-components meet this court's processing deadlines. The parties shall file an additional Joint Status Report by October 6, 2025, which updates the court on the processing and production of responsive records. Signed by Judge Amit P. Mehta on 8/6/2025.
