    The American Immigrant Investor Alliance submitted two FOIA requests to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for records concerning its program on U.S. investment by foreign investors. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, AIIA filed suit.

  2. MURRAY v. FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (filed Aug 29, 2022)
    Martin Murray submitted FOIA requests to the FBI for records concerning himself and the Armadillo Mayday Tribe. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request and issued Glomar responses for records concerning third parties. He filed an administrative appeal of the denials. After hearing nothing further from the agency, Murray filed suit.

  3. DOLENZ v. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (filed Aug 30, 2022)
    Micky Dolenz of the Monkees submitted a FOIA request to the FBI for records on the Monkees on the FBI website that had been redacted. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, Dolenz filed suit.

  4. JUDICIAL WATCH, INC. v. COUNCIL OF THE INSPECTORS GENERAL ON INTEGRITY AND EFFICIENCY (filed Aug 30, 2022)
    Judicial Watch submitted a FOIA request to the Council of the Inspector General on Integrity and Efficiency for records concerning its April 29, 2022 meeting with President Joe Biden. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, Judicial Watch filed suit.

  5. PROTECT THE PUBLIC'S TRUST v. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY (filed Aug 31, 2022)
    Protect the Public’s Trust submitted a FOIA request to the Department of Energy for records concerning communications between the agency and employees of Accenture. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request. PPT also requested a fee waiver. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request and granted PPT’s request for a fee waiver. After hearing nothing further from the agency, PPT filed suit.

  6. JUDICIAL WATCH, INC. v. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (filed Sep 1, 2022)
    Judicial Watch submitted a FOIA request to the FDA for records concerning reproductive toxicology reports filed by Pfizer and Moderna for approval of their Covid-19 vaccines. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, Judicial Watch filed suit.

  7. TOBIAS v. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR et al (filed Sep 1, 2022)
    Journalist Jimmy Tobias submitted eight FOIA requests to the Department of Interior for records concerning NextEra Energy, a renewable energy company. The agency acknowledged receipt iof the requests but after hearing nothing further from the agency, Tobias filed suit.

  8. LEOPOLD et al v. FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION et al (filed Sep 1, 2022)
    Journalist Jason Leopold submitted a FOIA request to the FBI for records concerning investigative records on Ivana Trump, Donald Trump’s former wife, who had died recently. The FBI acknowledged receipt of the request and told Leopold that his request fell within the unusual circumstances track. After hearing nothing further from the agency, Leopold filed suit.

  9. JUDICIAL WATCH, INC. v. US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (filed Sep 1, 2022)
    Judicial Watch submitted a FOIA request to the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys for records concerning communications between the New York Times and the Southern District of New York pertaining to an FBI raid in November 2021 on the home of the founder/CEO of Project Veritas. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, Judicial Watch filed suit.

  10. LONG et al v. IMMIGRATION & CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT (filed Sep 1, 2022)
    Susan Long and the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse submitted two FOIA requests to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for records concerning descriptive information about the agency’s Enforcement Integrated Database and the ICE Integrated Decision Support Database. The agency acknowledged receipt of the requests but after hearing nothing further from the agency, Long and TRAC filed suit.

  11. LEOPOLD et al v. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (filed Sep 1, 2022)
    Journalist Jason Leopold submitted two FOIA requests to the Department of Justice for records concerning the Task Force KleptoCapture. The agency acknowledged receipt of the requests. After hearing nothing further from the agency, Leopold filed suit.

  12. ENERGY POLICY ADVOCATES v. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION (filed Sep 2, 2022)
    Energy Policy Advocates submitted two FOIA requests to the Securities and Exchange Commission for records. The first request asked for communications between the agency and the White House regarding the processing of FOIA requests between January 2021 and July 2022. The second request asked for the Calendars used to post such information online. EPA also requested a fee waiver. The agency acknowledged receipt of the requests but after hearing nothing further from the agency, EPA filed suit.

  13. The Foundation for Government Accountability v. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (filed Aug 30, 2022)
    The Foundation for Government Accountability submitted 14 FOIA requests to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for records concerning the agency’s Transparency Rule. The agency acknowledged receipt of the requests but after hearing nothing further from the agency, FGA filed suit.

  14. State of Florida et al v. Food and Drug Administration et al (filed Aug 29, 2022)
    The State of Florida submitted a FOIA request to the FDA for records concerning Canadian drug importation programs. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, the State of Florida filed suit.

  15. Pittard v. US Department of State (filed Sep 2, 2022)
    Matthew Pittard submitted a FOIA request to the Department of State for records concerning the name of the American Citizen Services contact at the U.S. Embassy in Doha. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, Pittard filed suit.

  16. Star Tribune Media Company LLC v. U.S. Department of Defense (filed Sep 2, 2022)
    The Star-Tribune submitted a FOIA request to the Department of Defense for records concerning communications between Gov. Tim Walz or the Minnesota National Guard with officials in the Department of Defense pertaining to the possible posting of military police to control protestors after the George Floyd murder. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, the Star Tribune filed suit.

  17. de Garay et al v. Health and Human Services (HHS) (filed Sep 3, 2022)
    Patrick and Stephanie De Garay submitted a FOIA request to the FDA for records concerning communications to or from seven agency officials de Garay and another name. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request but after hearing nothing further from the agency, the De Garays filed suit.

  18. WHITE COAT WASTE PROJECT v. UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (filed Aug 30, 2022)
    The White Coat Waste Project submitted three FOIA requests to the FDA for records concerning active protocols involving non-human primates. The agency acknowledged receipt of the requests. The agency responded in part to two of the requests but White Coat Waste Project heard nothing in response to the third request. After hearing nothing further, WCWP filed suit
