Top 10 Federal Agencies Experiencing Largest Growth in the Number of FOIA Lawsuits Filed

Fiscal Year 2011

The Department of Veterans Affairs led the federal government in the largest
jump in the number of FOIA court suits filed against it during FY 2011. The
Central Intelligence Agency and the Social Security Administration were tied for
second place experiencing the next largest growth in FOIA actions filed against
them.
